Fangyuan Cashmere Manufacturer was founded in Inner Mongolia, a region long connected to animal husbandry and fine fiber production. Our roots trace back to the early stages of China’s market economy reforms, when small-scale trading and raw material sourcing laid the groundwork for modern manufacturing.

In the late 1970s and 1980s, our family was involved in the trade of livestock and raw materials, including raw cashmere. This early exposure to fiber sourcing and quality differences shaped a practical understanding of the industry long before factory production began.

In 1992, the first family-run workshop was established in Baotou. Building on this foundation, Fangyuan was officially founded in 1999 as an independent knitwear manufacturing operation, focused exclusively on export-oriented production. Since then, the company has concentrated on one thing only: knitwear manufacturing.

Over more than two decades, Fangyuan has grown steadily rather than rapidly. We have chosen long-term partnerships over short-term expansion. Many of our clients have worked with us for over ten years, and a significant portion of our production and technical team has been with the factory for more than twenty years. This continuity allows us to maintain stable workmanship, consistent quality, and reliable delivery.

Our approach is built on responsibility—toward our partners, our employees, and the manufacturing process itself. We do not aim to be the largest factory, but to remain a focused, well-managed operation where quality, timelines, and production standards can be clearly controlled and traced.

Today, the next generation is involved in continuing and strengthening this foundation. While the industry continues to change, our commitment remains the same: to support brands with dependable knitwear manufacturing rooted in experience, discipline, and long-term thinking.
